We cut our smoking chunks from used bourbon barrels into 2" pieces.
We suggest soaking the chunks in water for 30 minutes prior to using.
Our used bourbon chunks infuse a one of a kind flavor into the meat.
Don't have a smoker? Not a problem...after soaking the chunks in water, drain then add to a foil pouch. poke several holes in the foil pouch. Set the pouch into a crock pot. Next set a seasoned pork butt, shoulder or meat of your choice on top of the foil. Add a small amount of water then cover. Cook on low for 12-16 hours. Mmmmmm this method tastes just like smoking the meat out in a smoker.
